At the Dogs' Refuge Home we love dogs

At the Dogs' Refuge Home in Shenton Park we love dogs and are committed to saving them. In fact we save hundreds of unwanted, neglected, abandoned and abused dogs every year.

With around 100 beautiful four legged friends in our care at any one time, chances are your next addition to the family is waiting patiently for you. And with so many abandoned dogs desperate for a second chance at a happy life, consider visiting us before you go to a pet shop or breeder.

If you love dogs then please help us. Take advantage of our dog and puppy training classes; use our boarding services; consider giving a donation or buy some merchandise at our online store. We can't thank you enough for caring!

Order your Entertainment Book

It's that time of year again....time to save yourself some funds whilst raising funds for our dogs! We are now taking pre-orders for the 2013/14 Entertainment Book. For just $65, you can save yourself hundreds and for every book sold we'll receive a $13 donation.

The simplest way is to order your book online. You can then choose to have your book posted or collect from the Refuge. We're striving for a target of 1,000 books this year! Books will be available for collection or posting in early May. Pre-order your 2013/14 Entertainment Book now...

We need you!

Our Volunteers will take to the streets on Friday 7th June to raise much needed funds to enable us to continue rescuing and rehoming our beautiful dogs.This is one of the biggest annual fundraisers for the Refuge but we rely completely on our volunteers for its success!

The success of this event depends heavily on Volunteer numbers. If you can spare a few hours to shake a tin at one of our local participating shopping centres, in the city centre or at your school or workplace, please email volunteering@dogshome.org.au to register your support. Thank you!

replace all our dog beds

A Dog's Bed is a Dog's Best Friend! Well, that's what it will be when we replace 120 of our old, scratchy hessian beds for new ones. Bendigo Bank is helping us out by giving us the chance to win $5,000...all we need you to do is LIKE our project. Visit the Bendigo Bank Facebook page, find our Dog's Bed project and vote for it....if we get the most votes we win! You can vote once every day until 31st May.

At over $100 a pop for a new bed, this will make a serious dint in the cost of the project. You can also help by donating a bed courtesy of Therians Donate-A-Bed program.

Can you lend a hand?

Lend a hand at the Dogs' Refuge Home We're always looking for dog lovers who are able to volunteer their time to walk our dogs or help with their care. It would be great if you could spare some time.

Foster homes needed

Foster a dog Many of our dogs do not cope well in a kennel environment because of stress or even depression. We always need foster carers to take in these special dogs.
