30 For 30

30/30 Jog for the Dogs

Saturday, 20th June 2015

Our annual 30/30 - Jog for the Dogs Challenge is set to take place on Saturday, 20th June, making it the perfect time for dog lovers to make a tax deductible donation!

For the ninth year running, we are organising this event to raise vital funds to help us continue our operations. Every single month we take in well over 100 lost, unwanted and surrendered dogs. Dogs that would otherwise face unnecessary destruction.

Taking the lead this year is long-term dog walking volunteer Nan Belton from BHP Billiton. Nan has been walking and fostering our dogs plus helping us with fundraising for many years and we are incredibly grateful for all her support. This is her first year taking on the 30/30 Challenge - her fellow colleagues at BHP Billiton have previously led the way and she's now ready to walk in their shoes.

Joining Nan is popular Nova breakfast radio host, Nat, a huge dog lover who's eager to help us spread the word about our work and help raise funds. Additionally, superstar Tom Jervis from the Wildcats (his wife Jazze is a vollie at the Refuge) will take on the challenge. We are so grateful these high profile guests have agreed to join us.

On the day, Channel Nine journalist and self-confessed animal lover Jerrie Demasi, will be there helping us to raise awareness and funds.

As usual, we need your help to make this important event a success, and are urging all our supporters to make a donation and help us to make a difference to the many abandoned and stray dogs in Perth.
