Banjo is coming out of his shell

Just writing to let you know how ‘Bingo’, who we have now called ‘Banjo’ is getting on at our house. We adopted Banjo on 18 November 2012 and although he has been a little more shy than we expected, he is now starting to become more confident and show his personality.

He is a very loving and likeable fellow who has settled in as a member of our family. Generally, he has been a bit timid and he doesn’t like to sleep on his own at night and wants to be in very close proximity to the members of his new family. Although, we have bought a dog bed for him similar to the one he had at the Dog’s Refuge and this seems to have helped a bit.

Banjo is very clever and has quickly learnt what is coming when family members start putting on walking shoes, he has also learnt a few tricks including: shake paw, high five, drop, stay and crawl.

Thanks very much for taking such good care of him, he has settled in and is part of the family after just three weeks.

Best wishes, Karen

  • Banjo is one lucky doggie for going home with you.

  • so good to read that he has come out of his shell, we get many nervous and frightened dogs at the refuge, so we all try to reassure them with lots of cuddles and kindness
