It has taken a few weeks, but attached are the promised photos of Bella settling in now that she has found her forever home.

She loves her plush toys and is very gentle with them, she also loves her chew toys and ropes which cop a fair bashing.

I took her to hydrotherapy at Ocean Reef Vets for the first time yesterday and she wasn't too sure about it but handled it very well. They say she's very strong and has adapted wonderfully to missing her back leg. We'll keep up the swimming help her to maintain strength without pressure on the joints.

We have also worked out that she has far, far more energy than anyone suspected she might have. She is most definitely still a puppy, which our poor reticulation can attest to.

  • I had a 3 legged dog from the age of 9 months (you can't mess with those trucks)! He lived to 14..... Long live to you Bella x. Lucky girl to have chosen such a beautiful mum!
