I adopted Bert on 15 April and would like to let you know that almost a month later, he has settled in very well.

Bert

Originally, I hadn't planned on adopting a dog of his age (12 years old), but can honestly say that I haven't looked back on the decision. He is in good health and still puts in an effort that his 5 year old companion, Mugsy, struggles to achieve when chasing his favourite tennis ball around the backyard.

He is full of character and in the short amount of time I have had him, I've noticed that he has even had a positive impact on Mugsy's behaviour. They thoroughly enjoy each others company, play constantly, cuddle up to each other on the couch and even eat together without any issues.

The highlight of Bert's day would definitely have to be bed time, and the worst part of his day appears to be waking up in the morning... until he spots the tennis ball of course.

Bert

I'd just like to again thank all the staff at the Shenton Park Dog Refuge for such fantastic service, If my council permitted more than two dogs at my residence, I would definitely be back to provide another of their animals with a loving home. I can't thank you enough.

Regards

Bert

  • How heartwarming to see that a senior dog has been adopted into such a lovely new family to enjoy his twilight years. He looks so content with his new brother Mugsy.

  • My dog and I met Bert when he was looking to be rehomed. It's great to see he's found himself such a good home. :)
