Bodhi makes a great first time dog

I thought you may all like to know how Bodhi (previously known as Shaaka) is doing, he's settled in very quickly and made himself at home.

Bodhi

The bond we've already formed has just blown me away. Having never owned a dog before I thought that I knew what to expect but my expectations were quickly shattered after the toilet training, the kennel cough, the loss of many socks, hats and shoes and the stubborness of Bodhi whenever we go for a walk. But through that I have tried to remain patient and come to understand him and to some extent he me.

We have become very close and spend most of our days together, having a cuddle, running around the house, going for a run or a walk down the park, doing some training or going for a ride in the car whenever I need to run errands.

He is a very intelligent dog and with that comes a certain willfullness and independant streak, but slowly we are beginning to know each other and strengthen our bond. He's still a little scared of other dogs but we persevere and will be in obedience class soon.

Bodhi

Bodhi is an affectionate, soft natured, rascal and I love him and so far he has been one of the greatest adventures of my life and become my best friend and companion. Thank you Shenton Park Dog refuge for saving him and countless other dogs to give them and their owners another chance chance.

Much love Lee

Bodhi

  • So happy you have found your very best friend, and honestly the most loyal one you will ever know.
Thanks for adopting Bodhi and giving him such a fabulous life.
I did smile reading how shattered you were with all the little incidents - but so worth it in the end.
