Bruno calms in his new home

Just a quick email to let anyone interested that Bruno (aka Bono) is doing really well and is definitely part of our family.

He is more tolerant of men now and does not bark at my boys when they come to visit and is quite friendly towards them.  He has also gotten over wanting to chase cars - we gradually introduced him to quiet streets with few cars and now we can take him on Guildford Road or Great Eastern highway and he just ignores them.

He loves the river and his first outing at the dog beach yesterday was a huge success with no aggression shown towards people or dogs.

Thanks heaps for all the great work you all did with Bono.  I have attached a photo of him - hope you  like it.

  • What a beautiful picture of a beautiful boy! Bono (Bruno) was one of my favourites. He spent many nights snoring his head off on my couch on sleep overs! Well done Bono you have hit the jackpot with your forever family x

  • Yay so happy Bruno has settled down. My fondest memories of Bruno are we both got lost in the bush together near the Refuge but he kept me safe. Thanks for keeping us posted, love the photo!!

  • You know what you have written is so what some of the Vollies and staff love to hear. That the adoptees have understood the fears and issues their dog has and have the insight and understanding to work through them. Bless.
