Fletcher has exceeded expectations

Hello to all the dedicated carers at the Dogs' Refuge,

Some news about our newest family member, Fletcher (formerly Onion, a white Staffy X), who has been with us now for a little over 3 weeks. He is such a character & has settled in very well, far exceeding our earnest hopes for a happy & affectionate mate to spend time with in retirement. Fletcher loves people & that was our biggest priority :)

He always enjoys his food & is addicted to his Kong! What a fantastic toy for a power chewer! He is very well behaved if we stop at the coffee shop during our daily walks & nearly always attracts admiring attention while Colin & I enjoy our cappuccinos. He is still a bit apprehensive with other dogs, but we plan to seek some expert help to assist both with this & his muscular 20kg eagerness while on the lead! He has improved quite a lot in this regard, though.

We look forward to many more happy times with our four-legged mate & would like to thank everyone at the Refuge for their magnificent efforts with all the dogs in their care.

I'm attaching a photo of a very laid-back Fletcher enjoying some mid-winter sunshine.

Cheers & thanks again

May & Colin Balzer
