Griffin - The Chocolate Corgi

Griffin was originally called Riley when we rescued him back in August. He was just a little baby and was born in the centre, to Ruby a black lab cross. Since taking him home he has become a wonderful member of our family and loves to chase the cats (much to their dismay) until he’s sleepy, at which point he loves to cuddle up on the couch with us.  He is nearly six months old now and a bundle of trouble, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

We will be rescuing another little one next year, however the next one will hopefully be taller! Griffin, or Boof Head as he is lovingly referred to is also known as “The Chocolate Corgi”. He is normal sized everywhere except his legs – they are so short, bless him!

Anyway we just wanted to say a big Thank you to everyone at the centre for bringing Griffin into our lives!

Jade and Nick.

(Also a big thank you to our cats Fleur and Houdini for putting up with his cheeky puppy ways J).

And finally one of Nick and Griff running along the beach.

  • Great to know that Griffin is well and loved; we have Munsell (formerly Rosie and with reasonably proportionate legs) a sister to Griffin and she also has a love of cat harassing.
I remember Griffin/Riley from the refuge, he was (and judging by the pics, still is) gorgeous. He would run at full speed and power tackle me - a very entertaining little man. Glad he has a good home :)

  • Hello the Hunts!

Yes, we believe that! He doesnt bark too much now thankfully, but when he gets warmed up, you definitely know he's there!!

We would love some photos if its not too much trouble :) And then we can send you some more up to date ones if you are interested?

  • Hi Jade and Nick
How lovely to hear about Griffin. We were lucky enough to foster him from 2 - 8 weeks old. Our nickname for Riley was Banjo as he was the noisiest little boy of the whole bunch. Full of energy and personality we just loved him to bits. I can send some photos of him as a puppy if you like. Thankyou for giving him a lovely home and updating us. Love from the Hunts
