Harlow finds herself a new best friend

We just wanted to give you an update on our beautiful 3 yr old female Husky we got from the Dogs Refuge a few months or so ago. Originally called Kia we have renamed her Harlow.

She is an amazing dog and we fell in love with her as soon as we saw her! We were actually only meant to be going to the Puss in Boots sale at the Cat Haven, but came home with no shoes but instead our new best friend.

Harlow has a lovely nature and is very gentle and loving, she is picking up training very quickly and now has a few tricks up her sleeve as well (although these will only be performed in exchange for a smacko or pigs ears).

She loves to play by the pool and lie in her garden bed which used to have flowers in it but is now a personal digging spot! (it seems we just have to let that part of the garden go, which is a small price to pay for the amount of joy she brings us!). She is obsessed with the car and loves to take a drive down the beach with the wind in her hair the word car is in fact now banned in the house unless she’s allowed to go out in it for the drive!

We were quite concerned that at times even though I work from home she seemed quite lonely and bored (despite her $100’s worth of toys and treats!) and understand that this can be common for huskys who are super smart, soooo we got her a  little friend in the shape of a puppy staffy! They are now the BEST of friends and she is so patient with him, even though his favourite game is trying to hang off her fur with his little sharp teeth and she is definitely NEVER bored now, they race round the garden like crazy dogs trying to catch each other – it is the funniest thing to watch!  I’ve attached some photos for you guys to see of Harlow in her new home with her new best friend.
