Hero has a strong bond

I adopted Hero in May 2011 and we have been having too much fun to find the time to write and tell you how things are getting on.

Hero

Hero has settled in perfectly and we have a strong bond now – it took a couple of months to fully develop the bond but now we are best buddies. Hero has lots of friends (people and dogs!) and everybody loves him. He is well behaved and is a pleasure to take out walking and we have no problems off the lead at the park or beach.

He is only just getting used to the water at the beach, when we first went he wasn’t too sure about the sand and waves, but now enjoys jumping in after his ball. Hero plays with tennis balls all day and all night and we had to develop some rules about when and where we can play with balls because Hero had no problem dropping them on my head at 5am to play!

He has responded well to some training and has learnt a few more simple commands. He also has a good bark and only barks when it’s really needed. Hero doesn’t like any of the beds
I have bought him, so he sleeps on the couch or sneaks into my bed ….. he loves to cuddle and can be quite pushy about getting his cuddles.

Hero

He is the best dog I have ever had and the best thing I have ever bought.

Attached are a few photos ……. Helping me study and having a well-earned rest at the park.

Thank you to everyone at the Refuge for finding Hero for me!

Elizabeth
