Rex here. Sorry I haven’t written in sooner but I’ve been very busy and I haven’t had time to get on the computer.

Rex

I’ve been with my Mum and Dad for about 10 months now and I’m having a ball! Not only do I have a mum and dad I also have loving grandparents who I visit every weekend. I get walked 3 times a day and the food here is great. I feel a lot calmer since I’ve been here and have learnt to socialise a lot more with people.. but I still have a bit of beef with the local cats because you know those cat…. they’re so up themselves.

Marnie and Michael (aka mum and dad) have been great parents giving me hugs and attention whenever I want; they were actually really easy to train, who said you can’t teach an old human new tricks. Anyway I would like to say hi to my aunty Mryna and my aunty Pat and the rest of the staff and volunteers at the Dogs Refuge Home.

Thank you for looking after me for sooooo long and believing in me that I would one day have a forever home like I have now.

Love

Rex

  • I'm SSSOOOO happy for you Rex, and you couldn't have a better mum and dad. I'm glad you're being good , for yourself and them.

I was so excited when I came to see you a couple of months ago, and, when you remembered me, greeted me so joyously, and wanted cuddles all the time..you really made my day.Love you lots.

Give mum and dad a lick from me!

  • What greats pics! I kept a close eye on Rex hoping that someone would adopt him as he was at the refuge for so long. It sounds like he has gone to a great home and most importantly a forever home :)

  • Just so wonderful to hear you (Rex) have settled in so well. I know your Daddy Michael and he has shared many a mischief story, like eating your Mummy's special stuffed toys, cleaning out the pantry, but both Daddy and Mummy love you very much and are so proud of you.

  • Hi Rex

It's Salem here, from the Cat Haven down the road. Through my network of cat-spies, I've heard about all the good times you've been maving with your new Mum and Dad. Try not to make the cats around there so envious! It's not a good look for us. Secretly we hope someone will take us home and care for us as much as you have been the last 10 months - see, deep down cats and dogs aren't all that different :).

  • Three walks a day! What a lucky boy you are Rex, good to see you are getting the love you deserve!
