Well, I’ve finally got around to update everyone on how Mr Jones is getting on. For those of you who knew Mr Jones, you would remember a small Welsh Terrier who was in need of some love and attention. And he came with a few problems to boot. He stole our hearts as soon as we saw him on the web site. I still believe to this day that he found us!

Jonesy finds his perfect match

I have to tell you how it all came about. Our dear Airedale ‘Merlin’ was lost to cancer some 7 years ago, it took me 5 years to get over the loss of such a warm, beautiful dog. I was surfing the net when I came across your website. To my surprise I found this cheeky little face staring at me, called Mr Jones. Up to this point I wasn’t going to have another dog. But, Jonesy, as he is now called, got my attention. I was so excited that I had my husband take us down to see him almost immediately. We fell in love with this little version of an Airedale terrier. After a few days we were the proud owners of a lovely Welsh Terrier.

Jonesy has now become an adorable family member, and for those of you that remember him, I would like to tell you now that his attitude has now calmed down to the point of almost being soppy! Unfortunately, he still has a skin problem, but we do the best we can to manage the condition.

We recently took him on holidays to Albany, where he was just loved by all that met him when we were out and about. And he just loves meeting people.

We thank all of you at Shenton Park for giving Jonesy a temporary home and all the good work you do. For without your valuable commitment to saving dogs we would never had found our Jonesy.

Bernice and Dave

  • Yay for Mr Jones!
I remember sending you home to your new family.
Our dogs eat a raw food diet of free range chicken and grains and vegis. Perhaps that may improve your skin...
Big Hugs to you Mr Jones!

  • I'm so glad to hear that Mr Jones has found such a wonderful home. He was one of my favourites and he's such a little character.
