Jordy loves family life

Hi, we adopted Jordy on Tuesday and just love him! The attached photo is our daughter Sophie with him.

Sophie & Jordy

He seems to be very happy here, settling in nicely to our home and family life. He is a smart little dog and lots of fun. We can't wait to be able to take him out into the big wide world. He seems quite good at coming to his name, we will train him this weekend before taking him out next week.

We feel a little uncertain about ourselves as owners sometimes, given that we haven't owned a dog before and would appreciate some advice. Jordy is a very licky dog, which is ok for us. We let him lick our (flat) hands, however sometimes he gets too enthusiast and starts using his teeth. He also is desperate to lick our faces, which seems quite cute until his enthusiasm takes over! What is the best way to discourage what we don't like? We are trying to avoid too many 'no' but are struggling to stop him.

Thanks so much for your help,

Fiona and Jon Bennett

  • He's a licky, lucky dog. Yes. speak to the Trainers. They really know their business.

  • Glad that you love Jordy and that he is settling. If you have any queries about habits-phone the Home and ask to speak to one of the trainers.
