Kali thinks she is a big cat

We adopted Kali (Rotti x Ridgeback), formerly known as Rosie, as an eight week old puppy last year.

We kept visiting until we found her because we really wanted a puppy from the shelter. She was 3.5KG when we got her and she is now over 25KG and steadily growing. She was a crazy, cheeky, out of control little chubby handful when we first got her and she has now grown into a loving, gentle (sometimes!), protective young dog.

She is so smart and we are constantly trying to teach her new things all the time, as she enjoys learning and mental stimulation. We are now trying to teach her to find individual things and people (she's mastered finding myself and my partner), next up it will hopefully be each one of our cats. Her favorite past times include chasing insects and eating grass with my cat Leila and cuddling foster kittens - sometimes we think she thinks she's a giant cat!

Even as a puppy, she is growing up to be an excellent guard dog (which I suppose is a trait typical of her breeds) as she loves to do her "patrols" and will always stand in front of you in a protective stance when she thinks there is danger. We love her so much and we can't imagine our lives without her. Thank you for doing what you do, you guys are amazing!!
