Long Termer Bailey needs your help!

Posted by Nerilie Watson on 6 September 2012 | 10 Comments

Every now and then a dog arrives at the Refuge and immediately melts everyone's heart - Bailey is one of those dogs. Even more so now, because she has been at the Refuge for far too long!

Bailey is one of our longest term dogs and we are desperate to find her the home she deserves as she has captured the hearts of everyone at the Refuge...

She is a very sweet girl who loves a good belly scratch. She is a quick learner and very social with people she knows. She's also a big softie who has been mistreated in the past, so needs plenty of TLC. She has had plenty of sleepovers with our staff and volunteers, and they all report that she is an absolute delight to have in the home.

A good group training course is essential to help her learn how to socialise with other dogs. She is waiting to find her new human companion.

Do you know anyone who can help Bailey? Please pop down to the Refuge to meet Bailey and speak to our adoption crew.

  • Bailey is still available! If you are interested in offering her a forever home, please visit the Refuge and complete an adoption questionnaire...and of course, meet Bailey!

  • Bailey is a very affectionate girl who would prefer to live with her family as an only pet, as she wants all the love to herself. She was returned to the refuge by the foster carer as they were getting a cat.

  • Hi we are moving to Perth in December and would like to have a dog. I have looked on your website and found Bailey and would like to know if she is still available.
I do have a 5 and half year old siamese cat who has never been around dogs and is very timid near them. He is also very much a family cat who loves a lot of attention.
Our new home is fenced and secure.
We will be living in Gosnells and it will be a bit of a shock after living on an acreage in a rural area of Queensland.
So I am a bit apprehensive on living in a built up area and think a dog would help us settle in.
I didnt want to go the puppy thing and thought you guys do such a good job of rehoming animals and you do it with such a huge amount of care and thought.

  • How sweet about Mosh and your son\\\'s bond. Great story about them digging their way into your neighbour\\\'s garden. Imagine their reactions together doing the deed! Thank you for the feedback.
