Loving family sought for Labrador with a limp

Nestle the chocolate Labrador is proof that personality can override perfection when it comes to love and loyalty.

Nestle - Adopt Me!

After suffering from ligament damage to her rear foot, the 2 your old female has been left with a slight limp which prevents her from being as fast or as agile as most dogs her age.

Now a resident at the Dogs’ Refuge Home in Shenton Park, the lovable lab is patiently awaiting the chance to limp into the arms of a new companion.

Karen Rhodes, president of the refuge, says despite her injury Nestle has an incredible enthusiasm and zest for life.

“Nestle is a beautiful, young dog with a calm, gentle disposition who loves cuddles and affection,” she said.

“Already, she is very much loved by our staff and volunteers and we are hoping that a new owner will see past her disability and realise how much love and loyalty she has to offer a new family.”

  • My labrador died of cancer on June 30th and am now looking for another one to rescue. I am most interested as she is the right age and the limp is ok where I am concerned. My number is 9276 7643.

  • Hi Gerri. Yes Nestle would absolutely be able to bound up a staircase and climb easily into a car. Her limp is slight and was graded at just 2 out of 10 by a veterinary specialist. She is young and energetic and has an absolutely beautiful temperament.

  • Nestle appears to be dog social, but please come and visit to Refuge to discuss her full profile.

  • Would she be able to make it up a staircase, and/or get into a car without too much of a problem?
