Lucy made the right choice

Greetings to all my friends at the Shenton Park refuge,

It is several weeks since I chose the Camerons to be my humans and I thought I should bring you up to date. The Camerons thought they chose me, and I still let them think that. Of course we all know that it works the other way around. When we spot somebody we like, we turn on the charm, and, hey presto, they have fallen for it.

Anyway, I think I chose quite well. They are proving to be very trainable, and they are coming along nicely. There are four in the house, Daisy (the cat), Jock, Hamish and Sue. Daisy was a bit hard to get along to at first, and kept threatening to scratch me. Anyway, I worked my charms,

And now she is quite friendly. The humans all do pretty much as I require. There is an off-lead dog exercise park directly opposite, and they take me over there at least once a day - which I have stressed to them is the minimum that is acceptable. There are lots of dogs over there, and they are all very friendly, with several who are always keen for a good chase and rough and tumble. At first, a couple of the humans weren't sure about the way I liked it rough, but they are all OK now, and welcome me with open arms.

Jock and Sue went away for a weeks holiday, and left Hamish in charge of the house, and I must say, he came through with flying colours. With almost no training from me, he took me on

Long walks to river, as well as across to the park. The river was interesting. There are all those things called boats, that just seem to be floating. All very weird. I also had a paddle (just up to my ankles). And I am not sure whether I like the water or not. I guess we will get a better idea in summer.

My only failure so far has been trying to get Jock and Sue to let me sleep on their bed. I have tried all my guile, cunning, sweet reasoning, charm and good looks, but I am not winning this one.

They reckon I take up too much room, and I think I will have to give in on this one. Still, I can't complain. The bed in the spare room is very comfortable.

All the best to my friends. I have attached a photo for you.

Must dash. It is time to go to the park and play with the other dogs.
