Luka's Loving Life

Posted by Nerilie Watson on 28 September 2012 | 2 Comments

This is Luka.  We adopted him into our family from the Shenton Park Dog Refuge in July 2012, so we’ve now had him for about 2 months.

He is a blue-heeler cross corgi, aka blorgi – a truly unique dog.  He is a very affectionate and loveable fellow but does get a bit over-excited at times. He likes going on walks-but we can’t yet let him off the lead because he goes a bit crazy when other dogs are around.

He has now been to four dog training lessons which is helping with lots of things. He learns very fast when he isn’t distracted. He also likes squeaky toys but they don’t last long and he really enjoys de-stuffing his toys. He gets on pretty well with our 12 year old dog Gemma but they do have the occasional barking match when he wants to play but Gemma doesn’t.  He is now very much a part of the family and we all love him dearly.
