Meet Macey. When Macey arrived at the Refuge, she needed extensive veterinary care and a series of operations on her two of her legs and her hip which resulted in her going straight into foster care for a few months to aid her recovery - two months of which she spent in a cage.

Macey is now ready to be rehomed and we are desperately seeking a family for her so that she doesn't have to go into the kennel environment. She is a 12 month old Ridgeback X who is very dog social and has also been living with cats with no problem. Macey would love to have another doggy companion in her new home to play with.

She is a real cuddler and loves to play. She doesn't like to be left alone for long periods because of her time spent in the cage, so would not be suitable for a full-time worker. Macey would also benefit from a group training course to help refresh her doggy skills and allow her time to socialise with other dogs - which she loves.

If you think you could give Macey a loving forever home, please contact the Refuge on 9381 8166. Her foster mum, Suzanne, is also happy to tell you more about Macey if you have any questions. Suzanne can be contacted on 0416 209467.
