We would like everyone at the refuge to know that Demi is now Maggie.

Maggie

She is such a lovely, funny girl and has definitely won our hearts. She is a bit cheeky and bad mannered at times but is slowly learning how to listen, food rewards are wonderful! She loves her walks and is my 7 year old niece's best friend already. Her and our cat, Sugar, are beginning to enjoy saying hello and Sugar now seeks Maggie out if she is being ignored!

She has her own box of toys and we can even leave her alone for short periods and she will curl up on her bed or the couch and wait for us to come home. She HATES the car, I've never seen a dog drool so much, so that is something we will work on. She will start obedience training at a local dog group in a couple of months but in the mean time we are working and playing with her all the time. She learnt how to "high five" yesterday!

Maggie
Thank you to all the staff and volunteers at the refuge, you guys do an amazing job...well done!!! We love Maggie!!!

  • Thank you for all your lovely, heart felt comments. I can't thank the staff at Shenton Park enough. Maggie is truly blossoming into a stable, happy and reliable member of the family. She has such a great sense of humour and the world is her oyster. Thanks, once again to the people who put in the hard yards before dogs like Maggie go home to be spoiled rotten and shown what family means!

  • Maggie, you are one lucky girl. I just love the photo of you getting a big cuddle. There's nothing like the warmth of loving arms.
