Martin's first night

Posted by Nerilie Watson on 19 June 2012 | 5 Comments

My partner and I adopted Martin last week.

His first night with us went really well. He was very relaxed and seemed to be comfortable. He instantly knew where to go to the toilet by himself which is brilliant. He loves his Kong and spent ages playing with it last night trying to get the food out.

We have started Crate Training and he is super comfortable with it. He is learning things really fast. He knows where he is and isn't allowed to go already. I have contacted a Dog Training place and want to get started soon. We are taking your advice to not take him off the property for a week.

Please pass on to Emma our massive thanks. She was utterly brilliant yesterday. We learnt so much from her. She was the absolute perfect link between us and Martin.

I will email again once Martin has been here a while to let you know how he's doing.

So far so good. We adore him. Attached are some pictures of his first night with us.

Thank you all so much.

Regards, Nick Lord-Sole

  • What a handsome boy. I met you both briefly on your way out and I just knew straight away he was gonna be alright. Thanks for giving him a great home.

  • How spoiled is Martin, cuddled up in a lovely armchair. Thanks for giving him the opportunity to know what love is really about.

  • Hi there Nick,
Thank you so much for your kind words. I love adopting out dogs to people such as yourself and your partner who are willing to educate themselves in regards to up to date reward based training methods. I'm pleased Martin is settling in. He looks so handsome in your house. Just adorable! I wish every client was a bit more like you guys. Best of luck with all the training and have fun with him. Please give my love to Martin.
    Kind regards, Emma
