Max to the rescue

Just thought we would let you know how Max is going.  He is a very smart happy dog who has settled in well.  He is even letting us take him for a walk rather than the other way round.  He is really playful and still gets very excited – but we couldn’t expect anything else from a 12 moths old pup who is already bigger than most of our friends older adult dogs.

He wasn’t eating well when he first arrived at his “forever home” but thanks to Tracy and her idea of “smelly cheese” he now eats everything we give him and he has even put on some weight.

He is  still a ‘doofus’ on occasions but we wouldn’t have him any other way.  However, he is enrolled at dog training (beginners class) to help him to socialise with other dogs,  rather than trying to take on the biggest dog on the beach,  which happened last weekend.   Fortunately nothing happened as Max was on a leash and the Rotti was in a good mood!

Max came to us on  New Year’s ‘  Eve, so it was great to start the new year off with a new friend.  I (Kaye) have always had a dog and I had recently  put my beautiful old Mastiff to sleep due to illness. We decided on a rescue dog but we are not really sure who rescued a house is not a home without a dog.
