When his fear takes over he does tend to bark, but he is easily distracted or will calm when brought inside the home. This boy is one that truly deserves the next home to be his last. Quentin

What a beautiful boy Quentin is. This guy is deceiving, there looks to be a lot of life left in this old boy yet. We paired him up with a young Great Dane cross and he was so happy interacting. He barked with excitement. He is such a character and we feel he will make one great loyal companion. He will require a 45 minute walk and sniff a day. I feel he will be best suited to fit retired people or someone who can take him to work like a tradie or truckie.

Apparently he stresses a little when left but we feel if his physical needs are met daily of a 45 minute walk this should settle him. I could also see him as a truckies' mate or a tradies' mate where he could travel in the car with his owner going to work. I think kids visiting will be ok but at his age it may be nice to retire to a chilled out place. He definitely has to be able to stay in side as he loves being indoors.

He should only be walked in quieter, less populated area's away from other dogs whilst he is settling into his new home and area.

Bonnie

DOB - MAR 2008 | Female | Mastiff X Staffy

Hey there, my name is Bonnie, and I'm new to Facebook.
I'm a 9-year-old female Mastiff X Staffy and I'm currently in foster care and am hoping to find a home and humans just like my foster carers because they are so amazing, they gave me a second chance. I've had a terrible past, something that haunted me for some time, but my foster carers have moved mountains for me and have helped me to become more confident with who I am and how I handle myself. Because of my past, I can be cautious with new people, but when I'm given an appropriate introduction, I'll usually feel more comfortable, and you'll start to see my sweet, loving side. I'd like to think that some positives have come out of my past, although there's not many at all - one positive is that I've learnt to create a bond like no other with my foster carers because they know and understand how grateful I am to have them in my life...and I know I can create this bond with my new forever humans too. I try to be as polite as possible, and I'm always respectful of my home space. I know things like, 'sit', 'down', 'paw' and 'wait' and I'm super smart and know I'm able to learn even more. I love belly rubs and will sometimes put my paw up to let you know that my belly is ready for a rub. I'm very affectionate once I feel safe around you and would make the perfect companion for someone who is single, or a couple who have time to nurture me and love me unconditionally. I'm not overly confident with other dogs and would need to be the only dog in my new home, although I'm okay out on walks when myself and other dogs are all on lead, I'll tend to choose to ignore them. I just don't like other dogs in my personal space...that's all.
I hope someone out there is perfect for me and I'm perfect for them. I just want to know that I have the security of a forever home; that's my dream.
Love always,
Bonnie xo

MY ENERGY LEVEL + REQUIREMENTS: Bonnie needs owners who are willing to initially allow Bonnie her own time and space. Her new owners need to be aware that she doesn't like to be pushed to meet new people and she would rather stay within her family unit. She would make a fabulous companion for a single person or would fit nicely into life with a couple.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Bonnie is not suited to children in the home and children should not visit either. She can be quite fearful of them and needs a nice quiet home.

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: Bonnie needs to be the only dog in the home.

Juddy

DOB - SEP 2009 | Male | Staffy X

Juddy is an affectionate, well mannered Staffy currently in the foster home but very much on the lookout for his Furever Home!
He loves the company of his people and will need a home with someone around most of the time as he does not cope alone for long periods at the moment.
Other than that he has a very good report from his foster carer who says he is very affectionate, well mannered and a welcome house guest.
Juddy is just one who will need time to adjust in his new home & lifestyle but with the right people will make an awesome buddy Juddy!

MY ENERGY LEVEL + REQUIREMENTS: Juddy will require approximately 1 hour of exercise daily as well as mental enrichment such as kongs and other chew toys.
He does not cope being left alone and will need someone home with him most of the time and then once settled after 3-4 weeks can begin working on this. Juddy's foster carers have given Juddy a glowing report!

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Juddy may suit children in the home as long as they are appropriate with him and can respect his space especially during his settling period.

Daphne

DOB - MAY 2009 | Female | Staffy X Beagle

Daphne is a lovely girl who is now ready to find a home of her own after weaning her puppies over the last couple of months.
She is a typical Beagle and new owners will need to learn about the specifics of owning one of these breeds. Daphne is of course food obsessed, new owners will need to become very savvy in keeping food items out of reach and locked away or it will quickly end up in Daphne's stomach!
She loves to follow her nose and is not to be trusted off lead unless in a secure fenced area. Daphne can have selective hearing at times so patient owners who can understand her quirks is a must.
She is a lovely, affectionate and very social girl though her new family will be lucky to have her.

MY ENERGY LEVEL + REQUIREMENTS: Daphne will require approximately 1 hour of exercise daily. She need part time or stay at home workers as she will not cope being left alone and is a known escape artist. Secure fencing is a MUST. Daphne has her beagle quirks - food obsessed and will follow her nose anywhere it takes her so keeping her on lead at all times when out is a must! She is food obsessed and management in her new home as she can get into bins, bench tops, cupboards and even ovens in her foster home.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Daphne has been on foster with young children and had no issues. Described as very friendly and gentle with them. Monitor around food of course.
Pending meet.

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: Daphne is good meeting other dogs. She gets excited but in typical beagle fashion loses focus and sniffs around also. She plays with other dogs once she is comfortable and should not have problems with other dogs.

Bozley

DOB - AUG 2016 | Male | Heeler X

Bozley is a beautiful boy. He is full of bounce and energy. He loves people and has been quite the social butterfly with the dogs he knew at the park. He would make a great companion as he absolutely loves his cuddles. He is a lovely well mannered boy who is looking for his forever home

MY ENERGY LEVEL + REQUIREMENTS: Bozley needs owners who are home most of the time. He has been left for 6 hours however struggles when left and starts to become a bit destructive. With this in mind he needs owners willing to put the time and effort into him and work on his anxiety of being left alone. Bozley will need approximately 1 hour of exercise each day

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Bozley would be best suited to older teens in the home - he lived with children in his last home but he was too bouncy for them.

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: Bozley is a social butterfly and is friendly towards other friendly dogs. Slow introductions are recommended.

Hamish

DOB - MAY 2016 | Male | Medium Mixed Breed

Hey I am Hamish. I am young, fun and ready to find my forever home! I have some basic obedience skills as I did level one with the RSPCA. I now need to learn how to feel comfortable with strangers so whoever takes me next time must be willing to work with a private trainer to enable me to become more confident. If I can find someone willing to commit I will love you ten fold. I am playful and loving so I know I will make a great addition or companion.

MY ENERGY LEVEL + REQUIREMENTS: Hamish will require approx. 2 x 30 minute walks daily plus mental stimulation. He is best suited to part time workers so he can be gradually left for longer which will prevent him from becoming stressed in his new home. He needs owners willing to do private training with him with his fear of strangers which was quite an issue in his last home and was the reason for his return so this must be addressed and worked on. For this reason we are also looking for a quiet home for Hamish which will allow him to gradually reduce his fear which will enable him to grow in confidence. For this reason he cannot go home with children. Hamish will need lots of mental stimulation via enrichment toys.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Hamish is not suitable for children

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: Hamish may be okay with other calm, polite dogs and will need slow introductions.

Skittle

DOB - JUL 2016 | Male | Large Mixed Breed

Skittle is a young goofy guy who needs to learn how to live with a family. He will need consistent and positive training from the start, including getting used to walking on a lead, and this should help him settle into his new home and build a bond with his new owners. We have noticed some co-ordination issues with his back legs so he will need some structured exercise to build up and strengthen his muscles. He is likely to be an energetic dog when fit and jumps up when meeting new people so his new owners will need to ensure this is addressed in his training so he is polite when meeting new people. Skittle will need time to build confidence and a bond with people so his new owners will need to be patient and give him time to settle into his new family life.

MY ENERGY LEVEL + REQUIREMENTS: Skittle will need time to adjust to a family home and learn to interact with his new owners. His new owners will need to be gentle and slow with touching Skittle so he becomes accustom to it and learns to enjoy having a fuss. Skittle would benefit from consistent and positive training so this is a must for the new owners.
Due to his current body condition, Skittle will need short walks whilst he builds up his body condition. Once fit and healthy, he will need at least two 30-45 min walks a day and playtime/enrichment at home.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Skittle is not interested in small children and will need to go to a home with older kids only. Children will need to be appropriate around Skittle especially whilst he is settling into the new home.

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: Skittle will need to be the only dog in the home. He should only be introduced to other dogs once he has had plenty of time to settle into his new home. All introductions will need to be done slowly.

Milli

DOB - JUN 2008 | Female | Kelpie X Staffy

Milli is a pleasant, older girl who is still quite active and is in need of a loving home.Ideally we feel she would be best suited to a rural property, like a farm where she could be in the tractor next to her owner during the day and allowed to get off and have an explore where needed. Once home at night she could get fed outside and let in when finished for a snuggle on the lounge as she is one big cuddle bunny.

MY ENERGY LEVEL + REQUIREMENTS: Milli will require approximately 1 hour of exercise daily. She may suit full time workers but will need time to settle into her new home before being left for full days. Milli has displayed resource guarding behaviours with her food and sometimes her toys. Milli's new owners will need to feed her outside and respect her space when she is eating etc.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Due to Milli's resource guarding, Milli must not be re-homed with children.

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: Milli must not be rehomed with dogs or other animals due to her resource guarding.
