She needs owners who are home most of the time otherwise she will try to escape if she's left out the backyard to try and get to you. She is a typical Staffy that needs humans around her. Dayna does suffer some separation anxiety, so new owners must be willing to work on this or at least manage this with a routine. She will need one hour of physical exercise a day and need mental enrichment toys to keep her busy chewing for her well being.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Dayna loves children, however we believe that she needs to find a home without children this time. She need owners who are fully committed to her only.

When his fear takes over he does tend to bark, but he is easily distracted or will calm when brought inside the home. This boy is one that truly deserves the next home to be his last. Tora

DOB - OCT 2016 | Female | Rhodesian Ridgeback X Medium Terrier X

Oh, hello there, I'm Tora, and I'm a 6-month-old Rhodesian Ridgeback X Medium Terrier X - I know, quite the combo! I'm on 'house arrest' at the moment because I've just been desexed and can't go racing around the yards yet, so I'd love some visitors! Oh yeah, the lovely people at Geraldton pound sent me all the way to Perth to give me more of an opportunity to find my forever home, and I'm so grateful for that! I'm a lovable girl and I'm looking for a lovable home and family who can show me all the finer things in life, like snuggling up on the sofa on a cold winters night or taking a nice stroll out in nature. I do get spooked easily, so I need slow introductions to new people and dogs. I'd really love to find some humans who will help me build up my confidence around other dogs and people because I'd like to be a confident girl as I get older. One way to help with this is for us to attend group obedience classes. I'm looking for a home where there will be a human home with me as much as possible as I'm not a 'leave-and-go' type of gal, and I'm not the type to enjoy younger children's company either - they're too much for me to handle. Once I've had my group obedience classes, I may be okay with other friendly dogs, but this will take time and I certainly don't want to be rushed into it. I'm looking for a best friend, so if you can be that human, please come and see me at 30 Lemnos St, Shenton Park.
Thank you, Tora xo

MY ENERGY LEVEL + REQUIREMENTS: Tora will require approximately 1 hour of exercise daily. she should be fed from kongs, be given toys to chew on / play with as well as lots of training games with her new family. Tora lacks confidence, she barks when unsure of new things, people, dogs etc and MUST have owners who understand this as will need to work on it with her daily. She startles easily by unknown noises too however shows lots of curiosity and seeks reassurance. Tora MUST attend group obedience classes and this should help new owners work on her confidence. She must go to part time or stay at home workers.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Tora may be ok with teenagers in the home as long as they are calm and appropriate with her.
Pending meet...

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: Tora is unsure of other dogs and will need group obedience classes before being introduced to other dogs.

Qwark

DOB - JULY 2006 | Male | Kelpie x Staffy

Good day people, my name is Qwark. They say I am an older gentleman but I am not feeling the years at all, honestly I can keep up with any of those young dogs! I must admit I have an addiction to tennis balls, I cannot get enough and I will hound you to throw one for me if it is around. I am also a tennis ball detector and if there is one in a yard then I will find it! My dream home would be one where I am inside with you but also have my very own yard full of tennis balls to play in during the day. Could you provide me with that?

Part time workers or someone who is retired is best suited for him as he will need company in his new home at the beginning or he may stress.

MY ENERGY LEVEL: Qwark will require approx. 2 x 30 minute walks daily which will need to be adjusted as he gets older.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Not recommended - ideal home is adults 16+ as due to age may not tolerate young children.

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: Choosy with dog friends. Recommended as only do due to age.

Zeus

DOB - APR 2012 | Male | Staffy X

Zeus is a lovely boy. He is a little scared at present in the refuge environment but bonds quickly. Please excuse him if he doesn't say hello straight away as it is quite scary for him. He will need half an hour a day if physical exercise and some mental enrichment in the form of kings and puzzle toys. Training would help but house rules only for this boy.
I think a fit retired home would be the best for this boy and high fences. He has jumped a low fence in the past.

MY ENERGY LEVEL + REQUIREMENTS: Zeus does have some anxiety so would need owners who are there for at least half of the day. He is a little unsure of the refuge and so at this point he is unsure of new people and can be a little wary so his new owners will need to understand this and not put him in a situation that he doesn't want to be in.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Zeus would be best in a child-free home - children visiting should be okay if they're appropriate with him.

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: Zeus may be okay with other dogs who are friendly and polite to him. Slow introductions will be required.

Hey I am Fred. I am an older gentleman who is looking for a best friend and someone who will love me. I am very affectionate and I am happiest when I am in your company or just hanging out beside you on my own bed. I do not like other dogs as I prefer all the human attention on myself so my new owner must accept me for who I am and be willing to manage this. I would love if my new human was retired like me so we could hang out together throughout the day. Does it sound like I would suit you?

MY ENERGY LEVEL: Fred will require approx. 2 x 30 minute walks daily plus mental stimulation. He is best suited to part time workers as he is likely to stress in his new home at the beginning and will need someone with him to settle him into a new lifestyle.

Brax

DOB - APR 2012 | Male | Staffy X

Hi, hello! I'm Brax, nice to meet you! I'm a 5-year-old male Staffy X, looking for some new forever friends to live with. As you can see, I've got loads of facial expressions...I think I'm quite a character actually! I'm very loving and affectionate and won't waste any time backing up my butt and parking it on your lap. I'm always wagging my tail, and you'll usually see me with a smile on my face.
I'm looking for a home where I will be your one and only pooch. I don't want to share my new home with any other animals, please and I'd also like to have someone home with me as much as possible as I don't like being left alone for longer periods. I may be okay with children, but can we please meet first to make sure we love each other? If you like the sound of me, please come and meet me at the Refuge.
I'll see you soon!

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Brax will require approximately 1 hour of exercise daily plus lots of mental enrichment to keep his mind occupied especially during his settling period. Brax suffers a bit of separation anxiety and can become quite stressed when left alone, so he will need someone home with him as much as possible.
Brax has very good manners, sits politely and takes treats very gently from your hand with great attention to handler when training.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Brax may suit young children, he is very polite, friendly and does not appear fearful of strangers. As with all dogs, kids need to be appropriate with him and give him his own space when required.

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: Brax is not suited to being re-homed with other animals.

MY ENERGY LEVEL + REQUIREMENTS: Jack will require approximately 1.5hrs of intense exercise daily.
