I must admit I have an addiction to tennis balls, I cannot get enough and I will hound you to throw one for me if it is around. I am also a tennis ball detector and if there is one in a yard then I will find it! My dream home would be one where I am inside with you but also have my very own yard full of tennis balls to play in during the day. Could you provide me with that?

Part time workers or someone who is retired is best suited for him as he will need company in his new home at the beginning or he may stress.

I would love if my new human was retired like me so we could hang out together throughout the day. Does it sound like I would suit you?

MY ENERGY LEVEL: Fred will require approx. 2 x 30 minute walks daily plus mental stimulation. He is best suited to part time workers as he is likely to stress in his new home at the beginning and will need someone with him to settle him into a new lifestyle.

Sloane

DOB - NOV 2015 | Male | Kelpie X

Sloane is a big, energetic boy whom we feel hasn't been exposed much to the outside world. He is a little anxious around crowds and noises. Children are too much for him so he must be rehomed without them and no kids visiting. He is looking for a nice quiet home with long bush walks to help him chill out and continue to grow in confidence with his new owners. He's a lovely boy with basic obedience and is quite well-mannered too.

MY ENERGY LEVEL + REQUIREMENTS: Sloane needs a home where his owners are aware of his dislikes. He isn't great around children which we feel is because he is movement stimulated and this scares him. He is a little anxious, so would benefit from people who are home more often than not or at least owners who are aware that his physical and mental needs must be met to help him relax. Cafe's and high traffic area's are out of the question for this boy so he needs a home which is in a quiet area and owners who understand he will be more suited to bush walks. No children living at the home or visiting at this point. Training will be needed with a private trainer to help Sloane continue to grow.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Sloane is not suited to children of any age. Children should not be visiting his home either.

Quentin

DOB - JUN 2009 | Male | Staffy X Labrador

What a beautiful boy Quentin is. This guy is deceiving, there looks to be a lot of life left in this old boy yet. We paired him up with a young Great Dane cross and he was so happy interacting. He barked with excitement. He is such a character and we feel he will make one great loyal companion. He will require a 45 minute walk and sniff a day. I feel he will be best suited to fit retired people or someone who can take him to work like a tradie or truckie.

MY ENERGY LEVEL + REQUIREMENTS: Quentin needs to go to a home where his owners are home for most of the day. Apparently he stresses a little when left but we feel if his physical needs are met daily of a 45 minute walk this should settle him. I feel a fit retired person would suit this guy down to the ground or a quiet household. I could also see him as a truckies' mate or a tradies' mate where he could travel in the car with his owner going to work. I think kids visiting will be ok but at his age it may be nice to retire to a chilled out place. He definitely has to be able to stay in side as he loves being indoors.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Quentin is looking for a nice quiet household to retire in. We feel he would be more comfortable without younger children in the home.

Charlie will require approx 2 x 30 minute walks daily to help shed some kilos. He will need someone who can do training with him as he does have basic manners but can definitely learn more.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Charlie Brown is best suited to older dog-savvy kids

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: Charlie appears to be choosy with his doggie friends. He is best suited to a home where he will be only dog and should not be forced to interact with other dogs.

Bonnie

DOB - MAR 2008 | Female | Mastiff X Staffy

Hey there, my name is Bonnie, and I'm new to Facebook.
I'm a 9-year-old female Mastiff X Staffy and I'm currently in foster care and am hoping to find a home and humans just like my foster carers because they are so amazing, they gave me a second chance. I've had a terrible past, something that haunted me for some time, but my foster carers have moved mountains for me and have helped me to become more confident with who I am and how I handle myself. Because of my past, I can be cautious with new people, but when I'm given an appropriate introduction, I'll usually feel more comfortable, and you'll start to see my sweet, loving side. I'd like to think that some positives have come out of my past, although there's not many at all - one positive is that I've learnt to create a bond like no other with my foster carers because they know and understand how grateful I am to have them in my life...and I know I can create this bond with my new forever humans too. I try to be as polite as possible, and I'm always respectful of my home space. I know things like, 'sit', 'down', 'paw' and 'wait' and I'm super smart and know I'm able to learn even more. I love belly rubs and will sometimes put my paw up to let you know that my belly is ready for a rub. I'm very affectionate once I feel safe around you and would make the perfect companion for someone who is single, or a couple who have time to nurture me and love me unconditionally. I'm not overly confident with other dogs and would need to be the only dog in my new home, although I'm okay out on walks when myself and other dogs are all on lead, I'll tend to choose to ignore them. I just don't like other dogs in my personal space...that's all.
I hope someone out there is perfect for me and I'm perfect for them. I just want to know that I have the security of a forever home; that's my dream.
Love always,
Bonnie xo

MY ENERGY LEVEL + REQUIREMENTS: Bonnie needs owners who are willing to initially allow Bonnie her own time and space. Her new owners need to be aware that she doesn't like to be pushed to meet new people and she would rather stay within her family unit. She would make a fabulous companion for a single person or would fit nicely into life with a couple.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Bonnie is not suited to children in the home and children should not visit either. She can be quite fearful of them and needs a nice quiet home.

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: Bonnie needs to be the only dog in the home.

Bella and Hershey

DOB Hershey - SEP 2011 | Male | Heeler X
DOB Bella - AUG 2011 | Female | Border Collie X

Hi, our names are Bella and Hershey,
We met here at the refuge and are now best of friends. Both of us have a fear of men and because of this we completely understand each other. Our trainers' decided to put us up for adoption together as being together has given us much more confidence. We now find it easier to interact with new people and say hi. We are also a lot happier within ourselves and more relaxed. This will still have to be managed with us in our new homes and we both realise that our new owner will have their work cut out for them. Being here at the refuge we aren't threatened or put into a position where we are not comfortable so it has been really cool, however Bella is starting to stress a little now and she is getting a little grumpy of living in a small space with me 24/7. We both absolutely love other dogs however like anything if our underlying anxiety isn't monitored and managed we could take this out on our pals. This is why it is really important we find the perfect home. This could be out on a property, a lower trafficked area like Mundaring or Brigadoon or a quiet suburb in suburbia. The problem with suburbia is there are more people around for us to worry about, however if you are the right person you could keep us safe. There are lots of variables with all of these being, the place we go to live has got to be a quiet home. We could not cope with a busy household as this would make our anxiety stack. Ideally we are looking for a lady by herself who doesn't have many people over however if you are a couple the right male may be ok but our trainers would have to decide. We don't take long to get to know you and once bonded we are real cuddle bunnies and will love you to death. All our handlers absolutely adore us and think we are the best and worth the effort. We would ideally love to play in the hills. If you can offer us our forever homes we will love you eternally.

MY ENERGY LEVEL + REQUIREMENTS: We both need about 1 hour of exercise each day in quiet area's away from people, please.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: We are not suited to children of any ages and should not have children visiting our home.

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: We're both quite social with other dogs, but need a nice quiet home for jus the two of us. We also shouldn't be introduced to dogs right-away, we need loads of time to settle into our new home and environment first.

Tamin

DOB - DEC 2016 | Male | Staffy X Whippet

Tamin is a lovable young boy who is after the right home with person/s who can put lots of time into him. He will need guidance to correct some of his behaviour, which seems to be 'puppy play' but due to his size can be a bit of a handful. Tamin loves to play, is super affectionate & is a smart boy who needs to learn self control. He will need time and patience whilst he settles into his new home & begins to learn necessary manners. Tamin appears very loving and will form a very strong bond to his family. In the right home environment Tamin is sure to grow into a lovely, well-mannered adult.

MY ENERGY LEVEL + REQUIREMENTS: Tamin will require approximately 2 x 30 minute walks until fully grown, this can then be changed to 1 longer walk.
He will need lots of mental enrichment daily and should be fed from kongs, be given toys to chew on / play with as well as training / games with his new family.
Tamin must attend group obedience classes to work on his basics, manners around other dogs and to assist with his boisterous behavior.
He will need part time /stay at home workers whilst he settles in, begins his training and learns essential manners with people. Tamin must go to persons who understand he will require a bit of work to correct his behavior with people as he can be full-on, jumpy etc.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Tamin is only suited to older dog-savvy teens in the home. He is quite full-on and the teens will need to be able to cope with his boisterousness.

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: Tamin is quite friendly but is lacking manners when it comes to polite meet-and-greets with other dogs, so group obedience classes are a MUST before he can be introduced to other dogs.
