Sammy D.O.B. ~ SEPT 2009 \| Male \| Cattle Dog X Sammy is best suited for someone who is looking for a constant companion. A family is fine providing he receives lots of companionship and activity. Sammy is best described as intelligent, energetic and fiercely loyal. He is an active dog and needs to be kept occupied to keep him happy. Sammy is great with people and children and loves being the centre of attention. He does not care much for cats or other dogs but he loves Red Rooster chicken! He is very low maintenance as he does not need the vet or brushing. He loves playing in water (summer and winter) and would very much appreciate his own paddling pool. This smart boy needs lots of activity to keep his mind occupied, whether in the form of exercise or interaction with people. If spending time in the backyard he should have space and lots of toys – at the refuge he loves showing off in the agility yard. Her previous owner described her as the most loyal friend he ever had. She is a little 'lost' at the moment, but with time will establish a strong bond with her new family.
