Seppy is a Maltese X Jack Russell and is about four-years-old. He is a very special little man who, like so many others, arrived at the Home in a very thin neglected state and had just about given up on the human race. On top of all that he was also in a great deal of pain with two complicated hernias that needed specialist surgery to repair at a cost of over $2,000.

Hi, my name is Owen and my mum adopted my from Shenton Park in July 2009. The helpers at the shelter told my mum I had some naughty habits and was very bossy but since coming to my new home I'm learning to be loved and try to be a good boy most of the time.

We thought it was about time we gave you an update on Chica (formerly Britta). In the early days we were all a bit unsure of each other, working out our spots in the world and in the house. Now we have settled in to a routine and things are going really well. We have fallen in love with her and she has enriched our lives.

As promised here is an update for Booker (formerly Tonka) who has been with us now for only 3 weeks but I really can't imagine being without him now, he is the most awesome company when Andrew is away working. Hi... this is an update from Maggie. My old name was Collie - my owner popped in to the Shenton Park Dogs Home just for a look, and left two and a half hours later with me. That was back in 2003, when I was a funny looking 4-month old and got left at the front gate of the Dogs Home.

Bert is a lovely playful and affectionate dog. The staff and volunteers have done a great job on his basic obedience training. He occasionally surprises Gerry by suddenly sitting or lying when Gerry accidentally makes a hand signal!
