Hello it's Pippi here (formerly Frieda). Remember me? I've been living with my new family for four months now and am having an absolute ball! These humans are almost as good as my brother and sisters who were also at the refuge with me.
Come down to the Dogs' Refuge Home for our annual fundraising event, Wet Nose Day!
My brother adopted one of your dogs a few years ago and he is such a lovely dog I thought I would write in a succcess story. Flash is a three legged ginger coloured boy (called Flipper when living at the Dog Refuge). You would think his three legs would slow him down but Flash is faster than our four legged kelpie!
My mum works at the dogs home as a volunteer, so I was lucky enough to find her not long after I was available for re-homing in early June 2009.
Hi, my name is Claire - my partner Aidan and I adopted Alfie, a very clumsy, gangly, 6 month old Kelpie X from your amazing establishment on Feb 23 this year :) Alf has just turned 1 and now has a baby sister, Jersey who we got just a month ago - right before she was brought to you as well!
Hi there, this is Charlie. I was adopted from Shenton Park in August. I thought I would write in and let you know how well I am doing. I have settled in perfectly and my family loves me to bits.
Hi...you may remember me as Nick, the goofy, paw-shaking extra-friendly Bully x from the Dogs Home, but I have a new life now. My new name is Stig as I love watching Top Gear with my new owners.
Alf and I adopted Rocky in April this year. He was a handsome Staffie X of 16 months at the time. Two months later we got Bella, Staffie X Bull Terrier, as a loving sister for Rocky.
Seppy is a Maltese X Jack Russell and is about four-years-old. He is a very special little man who, like so many others, arrived at the Home in a very thin neglected state and had just about given up on the human race. On top of all that he was also in a great deal of pain with two complicated hernias that needed specialist surgery to repair at a cost of over $2,000.
Hi, my name is Owen and my mum adopted my from Shenton Park in July 2009. The helpers at the shelter told my mum I had some naughty habits and was very bossy but since coming to my new home I'm learning to be loved and try to be a good boy most of the time.
