Our dogs were treated to a very special Christmas thanks to the generosity of Perth dog lovers and City Farmers. The dogs all loved having their own bag of goodies on Christmas morning.
I thought it was about time to send an update on our new arrivals and apologies for the delay in sending our news.
We lost our beloved labrador / ridgeback cross, Sandy (aged 16 years) in November and we were devastated. She was much loved. But we knew we would have love to give to another dog.... so after looking for weeks and weeks for just the right one.... we visited Shenton last Saturday.
I just wanted to let you know that Boss has settled in very well in his new home, with his new “Mum”.
"Ruby Tuesday" (Sheeba) has proved to be a very special dog.

Some of our dogs were treated to a fantastic day out when 8 volunteers took 8 Refuge dogs down to the beach on very long leads. They basically had the beach to themselves apart from a couple of friendly dogs who came over to say hello.
It was one massive day at the Refuge this Saturday, 4 December when the BHP Billiton Iron Ore crew joined our dogs to spend the day 'In the Dog House'.
Christmas can be a bit of a lonely time for our dogs and so each year we try to give them something a little special to help get them through the festive season. This year, City Farmers have come on board and set up a Wishing Tree in each of their stores where you can purchase a special little gift for a dog at the Refuge.
