Please for informed of our upcoming Annual General Meeting.
These are two of the most adorable and loving dogs we've had at the Refuge - Patches and Buttons are both social little dogs who love to interact with people and are looking for a loving home to retire together. They are a particular favourite of our patron, Melanie Greensmith from fashion brand Wheels and Dollbaby, who stopped recently to say hello to our pooches and officially start the building of our new kennels project (managed by PACT Construction).
Bella (aka Mollie, aka Burst) came home with us earlier in the year and we thought it was about time we let you know how things are going.
Myself and my girlfriend took Saba a 6 year old staffy x ridgeback home about two months ago now and he is doing great!!
Hi everyone, I thought it time that I wrote to give you an update on Rusty’s progress since I adopted her in April this year. Dusty, as she is now called, is doing incredibly well. You may remember Dusty as rather a ‘wild child’ who used to tear up and down her kennel throwing herself at the wire mesh and generally creating havoc - difficult to get in and out of her kennel, difficult to walk, always looking for an opportunity to escape, and showing very little interest in making friends with people.
I first met Zippy in 2010, he was very masticated and didn’t weigh enough to have sterilised, this broke my heart so I took him home as a foster dog to help him put some weight on...
I was volunteering when I came across my first ever Whippet back in 2000 and she was around 3mths old (then named Midget), I took her out and we sat and cuddled for ages... when I put her back in her kennel, she did the softest grab at my leg and held on and then gave me that look.. which completely touched my heart... “Cuddles” is 11 ½ now and is truly the “sweetest little dog”, she thinks a cuddle and doggie kiss will fix everything.
We adopted Josie (8 month old border collie cross) just a month ago.
We took “Butterfly” home on 31 December 2008.
It’s been a month now since we brought Charlie home, and he has come such a long way in that short time.
