After the success of the past couple of years, Alex from Houndstooth Studio, Santa and their helpers have agreed to come back and once again provide an opportunity for you to get a professional festive shot of your pooch(es) on Santa’s knee!

Santa Paws

It’s one day only – Saturday 8th December from 10.30am to 2.30pm – at the Dogs Home 30 Lemnos Street, Shenton Park.

This year the pics are great value at just $25 and you will receive a high resolution digital photo emailed to you which you can then get printed off or even create your own Christmas cards.

Doors open for photos from 10.30am and you will be given a number in order of arrival will be issued with a ticket and an approx. wait time.  Consider coming after 12 noon as any wait time is likely to be minimised as the day goes on.

Payment can be made by cash or EFTPOS.  You will also need an email address as there will be no hard copies printed.

To help you enjoy the potential wait, we have a big day planned with stalls and refreshments.  Plus you can visit our volunteers who are taking part in our Day in the Doghouse.

We will have on sale our special Show Bags, Christmas Cards, Calendars, books that will make great gifts for the dog lovers in your life, toys and other merchandise for the pooches plus a huge clearance of books, CDs and DVDs to enjoy over the festive season.  Come and have a browse.

To keep it simple, there is a limit of two dogs per photo.  Unfortunately we’re not setup for children or adults to be included in the pics.  Please see below some other conditions designed to make the day smooth and enjoyable for all.

For those who want to support the Refuge this festive season but can’t make it down on the day, City Farmers have set up Wishing Trees in all of their stores where animal lovers can buy a homeless pooch a gift or treat for Christmas.

Please note:

  • Each shot is $25 and a shot is limited to two dogs only.
  • Please only bring your pooch(es) if they are socialable and dog friendly!  f your dog is frightened of strangers or men then it might not enjoy a trip to see Santa!
  • All photos will be emailed only – you will therefore need a valid email address to participate.  No hard copies will be issued.
