I keep getting emails from the home from other new owners updating how their pooches are going, so I just have to share my Rosanna news as well because I am such a proud mother.
I’ve had her about 6 weeks now and she settled right in without a fuss. It was like she had always been there. In fact, within the first hour of being home she had made it clear she would prefer a human chair instead of a bed on the floor to watch TV, and that is what she got. She really has not put a paw wrong since. I really think that in her past life someone loved her very much. If only they could talk and tell us what happened to them.
We go to the beach every weekend. She just loves it. The bigger the waves the better, and she literally swims after and chases the ball until she just can’t anymore. We also go to doggie training every Saturday which she doesn’t love quite so much. She excels at the training, but isn’t fussed at having to mix with other dogs so we’re working on that!
She spends her weekdays just patiently hanging in the backyard waiting for me to come home. The neighbours tell me they never hear a peep from her. Home time means a ride in the car to go check the horses which is a highlight for her, and twice a week we go to Nanna and Poppies who are happy to let her sleep in front of the fire and give her special treats. She also mixes just great with my friends kids and my niece and nephew – as long as someone is throwing her kong or scratching her belly, all is good with the world.
She is so loving, so smoochie, so obedient, so everything! I love her to bits. She is the perfect dog for me and I feel so lucky that after looking for so long I was the one to find her.
I’ve attached a couple of photos of Rosanna doing two of her favourite things – snoozing on her special chair, and playing in her pool.
