We joined the crew at Lush in Murray Street Mall on Wednesday, 30 March to promote the anti-puppy farm campaign led by animal welfare group, Animal Liberation.

The gang at Lush

Animal Liberation havedrawn up individual state petitions for us to collect signatures from the public, putting pressure on the state to acknowledge these illegal operations and to take steps in shutting them down.

Lush have joined the cause by selling individual pieces of soap in the shape of puppy paws (suPAWT), retailing for $6.95 with all proceeds going to Animal Liberation. These funds will be allocated primarily for puppy farm investigations, rescues, vet bills and any other necessary care issues.

We urge all Refuge supporters and dog lovers to get on board for this campaign and show your support by purchasing a suPAWT soap or signing the petition.

  • I too am an avid animal welfare supporter. Any action which supports the betterment of animals should be a priority for all individuals who call themselves human.
Puppy mills are a cruel and tragic industry brought on by the infinite greed of those individuals who have no concern for the health and welfare of animals that have no voice.
To see the industry shut down completely would be a major step forward in society\'s ethical treatment of animals.
