Toby's new family love his quirks

We adopted Toby a couple of months ago.  He’s a Maltese x (we think).

He’d been returned because of behavioural problems.  He still has behavioural problems – and we love them!

He’s so naughty and clever.  You had said he’d bitten his previous owners and we clicked on that he would try to bite us if we grabbed him by the collar.  He never bit us hard, and once he realised that snapping wasn’t going to stop us grabbing him by the collar (if we needed him to go outside and he wouldn’t listen) he adopted his new technique … rolling on to his back with his legs in the air and making himself a dead weight – it’s the cutest thing ever.

He doesn’t bite us anymore and if he does he’s soft and it’s just playful.  He’s hilarious and adorable and so so loving!

  • What lovely people you are!
I have a gorgeous dog from Shenton Park dog home also.
He has issues, but don't we all?! Couldn't imagine life without my gorgeous Jakkyboy!

  • So glad he has found a good home and understanding foster parents. However, not sure that any dog likes being grabbed by the collar!

  • I am so happy to hear about Toby!
I had taken him home for sleepovers. Mick and I adore him and he never showed any negative behaviour. Toby is intelligent and wants to engage with the world around him. I am thrilled to hear how you love him. I would love to say hello to him one day. That is a gorgeous picture. Thank you so much.
