Well Mannered Lindi

I thought you might like to know how we went with Lindi (we have renamed her Shahdi) when we took her from the home yesterday.

She was quite happy to be in the car and travelled very well for the 4 1/2 hour trip. We had a couple of toilet and watering stops and she was happy to get back into the car each time. She has settled very quickly and has beautiful manners in our home so it would appear that someone has taken a lot of time to achieve this. She put herself to bed around 10.15pm and was still there when I got up at 7.00am. Our bedroom door was left open, but she didn't attempt to leave her bed as far as we know.   She was enthusiastic to see us this morning. We feel so lucky to have had such an easy transition and are aware it could have been very different.

I have attached 3 photos that we took last night and, as you can see she is very relaxed. She is eating well (working for it) and stools are normal so I would say she isn't stressed.

Thank you so much, we love her already. We will keep you informed of her progress in a few weeks, unless there are any issues that crop up.

Regards,  Joyce Sully

  • Lovely to hear Shahdi has settled in well and found the perfect forever home for her. It is always warming to hear about the ones who have been adopted (I am the one who brought her into the office when you picked her up).

  • Dear Joyce,

I am so glad Shahdi is settling in well and the journey home was easy! Well done on rewarding her nice manners by having her work for her meals. She will love you more for it!

Please give her a tummy rub or whatever she loves best from me!
