Our annual Wet Nose Day is this Sunday! We are teaming up with our friends at the Cat Haven to raise much needed funds for both cats and dogs! This year promises to be better than ever!

Wet Nose Day

Wet Nose Day activities include

  • A massive jumble sale featuring loads of books, CDs, DVDs, clothes, household items – low prices so come and grab a bargain or three!
  • Lots of food with our own tea and coffee stand and loads homemade cupcakes, slices, biscuits including gluten-free choices.
  • Hot chips and a sausage sizzle!
  • Our 2013 calendars and Christmas Cards plus lots of other Refuge merchandise
  • Wag bags for dogs
  • A huge range of dog toys and accessories at absolute bargain prices
  • A huge cake stall with lots of homemade treats
  • Huge plant sale
  • Lucky door prize
  • Raffle with spot prizes all day
  • Plus face painting, balloons and glitter tattoos and more for the kids!

Agility trials and fun competitions including waggliest tail, most like owner and best trick!

Meet the team from Houndstooth Studio and the Waggy Dog Bakehouse.

A huge day of fun for the whole family!

Socialable dogs welcome – must be on lead at all times.

Jumble Sale Donations

We are still taking donations for our jumble sale until Thursday 25th October.  Drop items in daily from 11am to 4pm.  We are accepting household  items, books, CDs, DVDs, kids toys and any items you think would sell!   We are not accepting any TVs, computer items or large electrical.   Items should be in good, saleable condition.

    Thanks for your message. We would love some of those items for our jumble sale - but just not sure on storage at the moment. Could you email our Volunteer Coordinator on volunteering@dogshome.org.au and advise what you have and she will let you know if we can take it or not. Thanks.

  • I am moving house and have numerous books (novels and educational - mainly psychology) and clothes and household items. Are you interested?
