Zeb & Zara retire to Esperance

We’ve had our lovely Zeb and Zara at home now for just a little over a month, and they have settled in beautifully.   The picture shows them enjoying a bone in the front garden yesterday afternoon.

Zeb managed, somehow, to break his little toe on his right paw, less than a week after coming home!  So, until last Thursday he has been in plaster and bandages and with a Cone on his head. He did look pretty cute – but trying to keep him contained and resting his paw was almost impossible!! He has made great friends with the local vet staff already…and of course Zara also had to visit the vet with him as they fret when they are apart!

So, once the plaster was off, we were finally able to take them to the beach.  Both dogs loved the water, the seagulls and all the lovely smells in the dunes. It was so much fun to watch them investigating the new surroundings. Beach walks and swimming will become a regular part of their exercise routine as the weather warms up.

We still can’t believe how lucky we are to have found two beautiful, well behaved and funny dogs to have in our home.

Thank you!

Lee and Paul
