Get To Know Ollie

Meet our boy Ollie G.
Ollie is a two-year-old male German Shepherd X, who is looking for a very special home.
Ollie needs owners who understand his breed and can embrace his pawsonality. He is a beautifully loving boy, who just wants to make his ‘hoomans’ happy, but he does let his anxiety and other outside distractions get in the way sometimes.
True to his breed, he is one big smartie pants! He knows lots of basic and intermediate commands and he LOVES showing off what he can do in front of his fave humans.
Ollie was adopted from us in Feb this year and he was set to become a truffle pooch, but unfortunately Ollie became quite distracted when he was supposed to be working, so he was sent back to us to find a new home.
This boy is eager to meet other dogs, but his full-on nature can be too much for most dogs. He has made lots of on-leash doggo friends in the past and his foster carer has reported that he gets better each day. It’s important that Ollie finds owners who understand this and introduce him slowly to new doggo friends.
The most important thing for this loveable munchkin is a quiet and calm household. Lots of traffic, frequent visitors and lots of noise is going to be too much for him to handle. He is very alert and having a busy lifestyle won’t help this sensitive soul.
Routine and guidance is key for Ollie. He thrives on routine and knowing what to expect each day and having an owner who can consistently work with Ollie will help him to shine ?
Whilst this boy is very snuggly and loving, children will be too much for him. He hasn’t lived with children before or had any experience with them, but he sure does love his adult human friends once he gets to know you properly.

Our website updates the availability of our dogs in real time. There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted. You can phone ahead to enquire about a dog you are interested in between the hours of 11am and 4pm but we cannot place dogs on hold over the phone. Please review our Adoption Process or complete an Adoption Questionnaire prior to your visit.
