Get To Know Ollie
Ollie is a special boy who has lots of love to give. He knows lots of basic obedience and just wants to please. He is very loving and attentive. He is part Shepherd so his ideal person is someone who understands this special breed and is able to spend the time and have the patience needed for him to reach his full potential.
He is looking for a certain person who can train and manage his behaviours which are intense at times. This is what he is looking for:
1. An experienced handler who can train shepherds. He needs training and management with set boundaries as he is a very strong willed boy.
2.He needs training on ‘impulse control’ as he lacks this in many ways. Including when he is playing with dogs and when he wants his own way.
3. He needs to learn polite meets and greets with dogs. He can play with them but needs to know how not to tip over threshold.(impulse control)
4. Needs a quiet home as gets too stimulated with too many visitors.
5.A strong person that can handle his strength. . He is extremely intelligent which can be his undoing so we are looking for that special someone who is able and willing to put him first to get him to where he needs to be and they will be rewarded ten fold.
Ideally we are looking for a part time worker so that you have the time to put into him as he needs daily training and consistency which takes time. We are also looking for a very quiet suburb or semi rural to lesson stressors.

Our website updates the availability of our dogs in real time. There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted. You can phone ahead to enquire about a dog you are interested in between the hours of 10am and 4pm but we cannot place dogs on hold over the phone. Please review our Adoption Process or complete an Adoption Questionnaire prior to your visit.
