Get To Know Sheela
Please meet our lady Sheela.
Originally Sheela came to us from Geraldton and then was adopted. However they couldn’t look after her any more and this girl is on the look out for a new home again.
Sheela is a sweet and affectionate girl who is after a quiet predictable home with not much comings and goings.
Sheela can be reactive on leash towards other dogs due to her frustration, however she has proved to us here at the Refuge that she learns quickly and has made lots of walking friends. On some occasions she has been able to play off leash.
Sheela needs experienced owners who have done reactivity training before, are able to read body language and can handle her with confidence, allowing her to meet dogs in controlled manner and environment.
Sheela will do well in a home in a quiet area where she can enjoy her time laying around and sun bathing. Sheela will need regular daily walks to sniff and explore as she was missing this in her previous home.
She has the potential to fit in with full timers and teens at home.

Our website updates the availability of our dogs in real time. There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted. You can phone ahead to enquire about a dog you are interested in between the hours of 11am and 4pm but we cannot place dogs on hold over the phone. Please review our Adoption Process or complete an Adoption Questionnaire prior to your visit.
