Get To Know Rita
Sweet little Rita is on the lookout for a new home after she went unclaimed at a local pound. She can be very nervous in new situations and meeting new people, which is why a slow and steady approach is needed. Once she feels safe and comfortable she is an incredibly fun, loving and energetic young girl. She will need an active home, ideally with people who have the time to invest in her ongoing training as she hasn’t had much to date. Full time workers may be ok if she is fulfilled mentally and physically. She could live with children 13 years and older. Tests here at the refuge indicate that she is dog social.

Our website updates the availability of our dogs in real time. There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted. You can phone ahead to enquire about a dog you are interested in between the hours of 11am and 4pm but we cannot place dogs on hold over the phone. Please review our Adoption Process or complete an Adoption Questionnaire prior to your visit.
