Get To Know Caspa
Caspa is so rightly named after the well known children’s cartoon ghost as he remained at large within the south west community for a number of weeks, unable to be caught. Lucky for him, he is now safe at the refuge and looking for a new (and permanent) home. Experienced dog owners are preferred as typical to his shar pei and husky nature, can be a bit unsure initially with new people and environments. Once he feels safe and comfortable, he loves attention and becomes quite affectionate. He can make dog friends in calm, controlled environments, so busy dog parks and beaches aren’t the place for him just yet. Part time/casual workers are best suited initially, as are kids 13 years and older. If you think you can provide Caspa a warm and loving home, reach out today.

Our website updates the availability of our dogs in real time. There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted. You can phone ahead to enquire about a dog you are interested in between the hours of 11am and 4pm but we cannot place dogs on hold over the phone. Please review our Adoption Process or complete an Adoption Questionnaire prior to your visit.
