Get To Know Taco
Taco is one of our more fearful dogs. this boy came all the way from Geraldton. We have no history on him but we do know he has not been treated very well. Taco is initially very fearful of strangers and loud noises. He needs a calm handler who will have a lot of time for him such as someone who works from home. Taco will need about 1.5 hours of exercise every day for the next 7 years or so, once he is settled into the new home he should slowly be exposed to different parks and suburbs. taco does not like other dogs so much and a trainer has to be involved after his adoption to work on his reactivity.
An only adult, calm household would be best. Owners need to only ever make slow and predictable movements around him. If you are up for a challenge and on-going training with this boy to bring him out of his shell, please go see reception.

Our website updates the availability of our dogs in real time. There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted. You can phone ahead to enquire about a dog you are interested in between the hours of 11am and 4pm but we cannot place dogs on hold over the phone. Please review our Adoption Process or complete an Adoption Questionnaire prior to your visit.
