Chewy is sensitive to new people and has started to become a little reactive which is why it is important he start training asap to help him overcome this. He can also be a little reactive to other dogs on lead, but he has the potential to make dog friends as he has done successfully at the refuge. What we are looking for for Chewy are experienced dog owners who can confidently and appropriately manage him and commit to ongoing training in these areas. Other requirements include children over the age of 13, no other dogs and part time/casual workers initially. An active home is essential. He would be a great dog to take on lots of outdoorsy adventures. This boy has so much potential, it will just take the right home, people and training to unleash it. Our website updates the availability of our dogs in real time. There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted. You can phone ahead to enquire about a dog you are interested in between the hours of 11am and 4pm but we cannot place dogs on hold over the phone.
