Achilles is a sweet and lovey fluff ball who came to us from a local pound. He is a senior boy who has not fully learned how to trust people and is looking for a home to spend his golden years. Achilles would like at least 1hr of exercise per day + plenty of mental enrichment please. Achilles can get a bit caught up in his own Akita world at times, and given his age is most suited to a calmer home environment but could go home with dog savvy children 13+, pending meets. In time after a good settling in period he will likely be able to be left alone for full time hrs. If you love big fluffy cuddles this gentle giant might be the dog for you!

Our website updates the availability of our dogs in real time. There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted. You can phone ahead to enquire about a dog you are interested in between the hours of 11am and 4pm but we cannot place dogs on hold over the phone.
