Chowder arrived at DRH with his dog friend Patches from a local pound as victims of the rental crisis.
The boys are well mannered and polite however due to the kennel stress they have had to be separated.
Chowder loves to run after tennis balls, having a good stretch of his legs before chilling and observing the world.
We are looking for a quiet and predictable home for this boy. We would love seeing him in a place where he can enjoy daily outings to explore the world before chill time and relax.
Chowder has good manners around other dogs, however being a mature age he will not tolerate strong and rude approaches from boisterous doggo’s.
Chowder needs time to settle into his new life before spending long periods of time on his own.
Suitable for older kids at home 10+.
He is full of character and personality.
Here’s hoping Chowder can start a new happy chapter in his life with a loving family to join.

Our website updates the availability of our dogs in real time. There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted. You can phone ahead to enquire about a dog you are interested in between the hours of 11am and 4pm but we cannot place dogs on hold over the phone.
