Weetbix is a fun-loving young pup with a zest for life and a heart full of love! This active girl is always ready for her next adventure, whether that’s playing with her favourite toys, exploring the world around her, or spending time with her canine friends.

One of Weetbix’s favourite things is other dogs, and she would thrive in a home with a friendly resident dog who can be her playmate and companion. She takes great confidence from her dog friends and loves being part of the action.

Weetbix has some minor vision impairment, but don’t let that fool you – it doesn’t slow her down one bit! She approaches life with enthusiasm and curiosity, adapting beautifully and enjoying all the fun that puppyhood has to offer.

As a young puppy, Weetbix will need an active family committed to continuing her training and development through positive, force-free methods. Attendance at **mandatory puppy classes** will help set her up for success and strengthen the bond with her new family.

Weetbix would be best suited to a home with children aged **10 years and over**, where everyone can help provide her with gentle guidance, enrichment, and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.

If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion who will keep you smiling and join you in all of life’s adventures, Weetbix could be the perfect addition to your family!

How our Adoption Process Works

Step 1) Preparation

Read our Adoption Philosophy and make sure your views on dog ownership align with ours. Please read this entire page to make sure you are ready for adoption day.

Step 2) APPLY

Browse available dogs online, review our dog sociability matrix and then complete an adoption questionnaire.

Step 3) ADOPTION

7 DAYS A WEEK: Walk ins welcome for adoption interviews between 11am-3pm! Our gates remain open until 4pm, but we conclude our adoption interviews at 3pm so we have time to take the dogs out, feed them and get them ready for bedtime.

During quieter periods, we will also do our best to review online applications, but unfortunately cannot get back to every applicant, especially for more ‘popular’ dogs. If you agree with our adoption philosophies and are ready to adopt- please do not wait for us to contact you after submitting a questionnaire.

PUPPIES & DOGS IN FOSTER CARE: If you are particularly interested in a young puppy or a dog that is currently in foster care, please indicate this on your questionnaire. Young puppies will not be on site here at the Refuge as it is much more beneficial for them to remain in foster care until their adoption. For dogs and puppies that are not on site, we will review online applications and get in touch with suitable homes to arrange a meet and greet.

Our dogs are ready to meet you!
