Hi my name was “Lightning” before I was adopted by Jennifer and Evie Wood.
Just a short note to let you know how Denis is fitting in with Jan and I and our extended family.
Firstly, I am now legally blind so please excuse the strange effort to write of Rainbow, who has been my devoted companion for nearly a year. Rainbow and I had 5 months of sharing my car and having trips out. Molecular degeneration has come suddenly but we are learning to cope.
Brad and I came in just over a month ago and adopted 'Hunk' who we have since re-named to Hank.
A week ago today my partner and I went to shenton park to find a girl to bring home to keep our boy company and we walked around the shelter and seen many beautiful dogs but we came across one in particular :) Our little girl gigi :)
It has been almost 12 months since I adopted “Lance”, his article said he was a glass half full type of guy. We had many ups and downs in the initially settling in period and gaining his trust, but it was all worth it.
I started volunteering at the shelter a little over a year ago, determined to also adopt my next dog from there.
I've been meaning to get in touch since I adopted my new best friend Buddy (formally Paulie) back in June.
Adopting Batesy from the shelter almost three years ago was one of the best decisions of my life! Bates has truly been the best friend a girl could have :) He is always there to cuddle me, make me laugh with his ridiculous antics, drag me out of bed for a walk or play, protect me from strange noises in the night.... and even once when I was so sick with food poisoning I fainted, he jumped on me and barked in my ear until I could sit up again.
