We hold multiple fundraising events throughout the year at the Refuge and attend a number of smaller community events at local markets, festivals and more. These events help us to raise much needed funds for the dogs in our care, engage with our local community and spread the word about rescue dogs.
Home Open
Our Home Open is an amazing two day fundraiser held on site here at the Refuge. This event is a crucial part of our yearly fundraising, which helps us to continue to save hundreds of dogs every year and there is truly so much fun to be had including a Jumble Sale, puppy kissing booth, plant stalls, barista-made coffee, food stalls, face painting, doggie accessories and MORE! 💙 Plus, you can grab some special DRH merchandise including our children’s book, ‘Horace Finds a Home’! 🐶
Quiz Night
Our annual Quiz Night is the most entertaining night of the year! It is one of our biggest annual fundraisers and always sells out. And its no wonder when it is so jam packed with fun:

The most wholesome night of the year – Date With The Dogs!
Date with the Dogs is our lovely Valentines-themed picnic sundowner with live music, friends, bubbles, beers, nibbles and puppy kisses! We will also have raffles, door prizes, a bar, merchandise and so much more 😍😍😍

In the Doghouse
In The Doghouse is our annual festive fundraiser where our valued supporters lock themselves away for the day in a kennel with a pooch who is looking for a new home! This year we will be celebrating this special event with a sunset Christmas concert on the grass with puppy kisses, drinks, raffles and more 💙
