Meet Chase!

Chase is an adorable young Jack Russell puppy with a sweet, affectionate nature and a playful zest for life. This handsome little guy loves spending time with his people and enjoys cuddles just as much as he enjoys exploring the world around him.

As a young puppy, Chase is still learning all about life and will need a family committed to helping him grow into a confident, well-mannered adult dog. He is a sensitive boy who can be a little timid at times, so gentle guidance, patience and positive reinforcement training will help him continue to build confidence and develop important life skills.

Chase would greatly benefit from ongoing social opportunities with friendly, well-mannered dogs. Puppy classes and follow-up obedience training will be an important part of his development, providing him with rewarding experiences, helping him learn good manners, and supporting his social growth as he matures.

Being a smart and active young pup, Chase will thrive in a home that can provide plenty of mental enrichment, training games, interactive toys and age-appropriate exercise. He loves being involved with his family and will enjoy learning through fun, positive activities.

Chase is looking for a family who are ready for all the joys and responsibilities that come with raising a puppy. With continued training, socialisation and lots of love, he is sure to grow into a wonderful companion who will bring plenty of happiness and laughter to his new home.

How our Adoption Process Works

Step 1) Preparation

Read our Adoption Philosophy and make sure your views on dog ownership align with ours. Please read this entire page to make sure you are ready for adoption day.

Step 2) APPLY

Browse available dogs online, review our dog sociability matrix and then complete an adoption questionnaire.

Step 3) ADOPTION

7 DAYS A WEEK: Walk ins welcome for adoption interviews between 11am-3pm! Our gates remain open until 4pm, but we conclude our adoption interviews at 3pm so we have time to take the dogs out, feed them and get them ready for bedtime.

During quieter periods, we will also do our best to review online applications, but unfortunately cannot get back to every applicant, especially for more ‘popular’ dogs. If you agree with our adoption philosophies and are ready to adopt- please do not wait for us to contact you after submitting a questionnaire.

PUPPIES & DOGS IN FOSTER CARE: If you are particularly interested in a young puppy or a dog that is currently in foster care, please indicate this on your questionnaire. Young puppies will not be on site here at the Refuge as it is much more beneficial for them to remain in foster care until their adoption. For dogs and puppies that are not on site, we will review online applications and get in touch with suitable homes to arrange a meet and greet.

Our dogs are ready to meet you!
