Meet Fudge Now Cee Cee
Smudge and Fudge are a sweet and endearing pair who share a close bond and enjoy having each other for comfort and support. While they may both be a little unsure at first, once they feel safe their affectionate and loyal natures really begin to shine. Smudge brings a calm, steady presence, while Fudge adds a more playful and energetic dynamic, making them a lovely balance as a pair.
They would thrive in a home that can offer a quieter environment where they can continue to build confidence at their own pace. Both dogs have already shown great progress since arriving and will benefit from ongoing positive guidance and gentle exposure to new experiences. They enjoy spending time with their people and would love a home where they can be included in day-to-day life, whether that’s relaxed outings or time at home together.
Smudge and Fudge are looking for a patient and understanding home that will appreciate their bond and support them as they continue to grow in confidence. Together, they will make a deeply rewarding pair for the right family.
How our Adoption Process Works
Step 1) Preparation
Read our Adoption Philosophy and make sure your views on dog ownership align with ours. Please read this entire page to make sure you are ready for adoption day.
Step 2) APPLY
Browse available dogs online, review our dog sociability matrix and then complete an adoption questionnaire.
Step 3) ADOPTION
7 DAYS A WEEK: Walk ins welcome for adoption interviews between 11am-3pm! Our gates remain open until 4pm, but we conclude our adoption interviews at 3pm so we have time to take the dogs out, feed them and get them ready for bedtime.
During quieter periods, we will also do our best to review online applications, but unfortunately cannot get back to every applicant, especially for more ‘popular’ dogs. If you agree with our adoption philosophies and are ready to adopt- please do not wait for us to contact you after submitting a questionnaire.
PUPPIES & DOGS IN FOSTER CARE: If you are particularly interested in a young puppy or a dog that is currently in foster care, please indicate this on your questionnaire. Young puppies will not be on site here at the Refuge as it is much more beneficial for them to remain in foster care until their adoption. For dogs and puppies that are not on site, we will review online applications and get in touch with suitable homes to arrange a meet and greet.
