The Dogs’ Refuge Home is always looking for suitable loving foster homes to help care for our special dogs. These dogs may suffer from timidness, anxiety, medical issues or are simply too sensitive to be placed in our kennels, and the foster carers program helps prepare them for adoption by giving them a chance to rehabilitate in a loving home.
As a foster carer you will be playing a valuable role in the future of each dog you foster. Spending time in a home environment helps our dogs become more socialised and ready for adoption. We will provide you with a ‘Foster Care Kit’ which includes all the things you will need for your foster dog. This includes food, a bowl, bedding and a fridge magnet with all the emergency numbers you might need. If a dog you foster does not settle or is particularly anxious at all you must call the refuge or the emergency number provided day or night to let us know. To help us place the right foster dogs in the right foster home, please answer the following questions.
