Meet Bo! This lovely, social boy is full of personality and affection and is looking for a patient, loving family to call his own.

Bo is an energetic boy who loves being involved with his people and will thrive with around 1-1.5 hours of daily exercise, plenty of sniffy adventures, enrichment and fun activities to keep his clever brain fulfilled. He can be a little clingy when stressed, so he’ll need his people home regularly while he settles and learns that his new home is a safe place to relax.

Bo is very interested in other dogs and would love some well-matched doggy friends for walks and catch-ups. He can be a little too enthusiastic and forward with his greetings at the moment, so he’ll benefit from some positive training to help polish his doggy manners. For now, he may be happiest as the only dog at home while enjoying carefully chosen canine friends outside the home.

Bo could suit robust, dog-savvy children around **10+**, pending a meet. He’s a bit too energetic for older persons at this stage and is looking for a family able to confidently keep up with him.

With some time to decompress, lots of love and positive guidance, Bo has all the makings of an amazing family companion. ❤️

How our Adoption Process Works

Step 1) Preparation

Read our Adoption Philosophy and make sure your views on dog ownership align with ours. Please read this entire page to make sure you are ready for adoption day.

Step 2) APPLY

Browse available dogs online, review our dog sociability matrix and then complete an adoption questionnaire.

Step 3) ADOPTION

7 DAYS A WEEK: Walk ins welcome for adoption interviews between 11am-3pm! Our gates remain open until 4pm, but we conclude our adoption interviews at 3pm so we have time to take the dogs out, feed them and get them ready for bedtime.

During quieter periods, we will also do our best to review online applications, but unfortunately cannot get back to every applicant, especially for more ‘popular’ dogs. If you agree with our adoption philosophies and are ready to adopt- please do not wait for us to contact you after submitting a questionnaire.

PUPPIES & DOGS IN FOSTER CARE: If you are particularly interested in a young puppy or a dog that is currently in foster care, please indicate this on your questionnaire. Young puppies will not be on site here at the Refuge as it is much more beneficial for them to remain in foster care until their adoption. For dogs and puppies that are not on site, we will review online applications and get in touch with suitable homes to arrange a meet and greet.

Our dogs are ready to meet you!
